Default Legal frame questions

The frame in question belongs to an ex-SS/D car...'70 Chevelle...story is the original owner moved the rear frame rails in for larger tire clearance per the rules in the '70s some time...anyway, assuming the bolt on suspension parts are legal, and we stick with the legal tire, could this car run in Stock with this frame mod? It's hard for me to explain exactly, as I'm worling on 2nd hand info here, but is a *virgin* frame a must for Stock?? Thanks!
