TNT Super Series to Run FOUR Events at Dunn Tire Raceway Park in 2008!
LANCASTER, NEW YORK (MARCH 31, 2008) The final dates for the 2008 season have been added to the Joe?s Transmission TNT Super Series schedule. Dunn Tire Raceway Park (DTRP) will host a total of four TNT events in 2008. Sunday April 27 and Friday September 5 have just been added to the schedule. ?We?re very excited to have the TNT series return to DTRP for four races in 2008, especially the April 27 event,? commented Sharon Hughes, Drag Coordinator for DTRP. ?That is our Ironman Classic and our points season opener. We?ll run all of our weekly classes: TOP, MOD, Street, Bikes/Sleds, and Quick 16. The winner of each of these classes will receive an IHRA Ironman - FIVE of them will be given out that day! For more info, visit www.dunntireracewaypark.com.?
The TNT series will both begin and end its season at the newly renamed western New York facility. ?We?re kicking off our season early this year but it?s in conjunction with DTRP?s Ironman Classic so it?s a great opportunity for TNT racers to double enter, get a jump on the TNT points and maybe go home with some serious hardware!? said Ted Barnes, TNT Series Director. ?And having a total of 4 races at DTRP is huge for us. Western New York is a hotbed of Super Street/Hot Rod racers and having half of our events there really rounds out the ?08 schedule.? This announcement completes the 2008 TNT Series schedule.
