DRC has all the round info up so I will post a bunch of photos and a video from todays action. We had a great turnout with well over 400 cars, I don't have the exact figure but the place was packed. Even with the temps in the high 80's and high humidity, it was a great weekend for racing We got done about 3pm today.
The video is the Super Stock final, Joe Lisa and Doug Linke in a GT/FA heads up final. |

The first few photos did not go well for James Perrone in the third round. As you can see the wheel studs sheered off right in the burnout box.

To my understanding those type wheel spacers have been the cause of many wheel stud failures. I had those on my fast car and questioned them years ago and was told to either get the billet style with proper hole size and bolt pattern or get the right wheel. I took mine off and used the billet style for fear of breaking. Now with new paint and more power I got nervous and changed studs and rim back spacing.
Working at Speedworld I cleaned up 3 different stud breakage vehicles and all had this style spacer. Coincidence, I dont know? |
