Re: Forgettable Racing Stories
two incidents, same day. july 4, 1980, eddyville ia. i jumped in the back of the pickup after burnout and smashed a loose can of pennzoil and it leaked all over the starting line. next run, i was driving the pickup following the dragster down and my cousin, in the back flipped out of the truck on the line when i took off too quick and lost him. when i got to the end i asked my little brother, where is rick, he replied, he was in here when we took off. needless to say, eddyville staff was glad to see us leave.
