My interest in stockers was spurred by my neighbor's car, SS&DI's Project Six Pack. Ted happened to buy a car that was about as cool as it gets for the time. Mike and Terry turned out to be the other 2/3's that was needed. (Though Stafford uu and Lovett have their place, which I don't remember as well.) I was just a kid. Well, I still am...

It was never lost. Ted Struse.....the original owner took it with him when he moved out west. He bracket raced it some with a large engine then it was restored as it appears in the photos.

Forget hemi 'Cudas. This was the best, baddest, daily driver Ma Mopar ever put on the street.
Harry Harrison, of Thunder Speed in Beacon, N.Y. had one, called it "yellow Brick Road" for some reason.

I was working for a dealer in late 68,69 and had a Hemi Road Runner on order. I was able to pay $100 extra and it was to be painted a fleet color. While waiting for the factory to schedule some cars in Omaha Orange we received the info on the 6BBL, I quickly cancelled my order and changed to the 6 BBL. The main reason was the warranty, but the fact that they now offered the same color mine would no longer be unique. I kind of wish I had kept that order as a special color Hemi 69 would be a rare piece today.I had Corneilson speed shop in Corning Iowa do a partial blueprint ,replaced the clutch ,Hooker headers, 4;56gears,I won my class at a points meet at Cornhusker in Omaha ,Probably in 1970. It is currently in Holland Michigan ,way nicer than it was new.

I don't ever recall reading about or seeing a picture (until this one) of a Sox & Martin 1969 440 Six Barrel Road Runner. Have you?

Now, I've seen photos of a Sox & Martin 426 Hemi-powered 1969 Road Runner before. Is this the same car (sans Hemi engine)?
