Front end height question

Going to install a pair of Landrum springs.
If the ride height is too high do I cut them or exchange them for a lighter pair?

Don't cut them. Let the car settle on the new springs. Best to get the car on 4 scales and see what the corner weights are, with and with out a driver Check RR for Preload..

From one rate to the next, it will change the ride height about 2 1/4 to 2 1/2 inches. It?s not an exact figure, but it?s a good ballpark to go off of. If you need the car to set less than 2 inches from where it is now, you will either shim it or trim a small amount off of the spring. Depending if it?s too high or too low.
It usually settles very little. But they will settle a little bit.

In my experience, a Landrum will settle a little bit then be good. The other spring people use will settle through the life of the spring and need replaced eventually.

I will trim a spring, but not much. 1/2 a coil maybe. Even trim a bit more on one side if needed. Trimming the spring changes the rate.

If you trim coil springs, a very accurate rule of thumb is that for every inch you want to reduce ride height, cut half an inch of spring height. For a 2" ride height reduction, cut 1" of coil spring height off.
