Sorry I should have been more specific. I run the electric valve and let the system dictate when it needs oil not at a pre-set pressure. Why a pre-set pressure is what I meant, over letting it just free flow as needed? |

Without a Pressure valve, how does your system know when it needs oil?

I have used a canton 2 quart with a autimatic pressure switch that activated if the pressure gets below 60lbs. It not only saves the engine in the event of the loss of oil pressure but when you go to start the car you have 60lbs oil pressure pre lubing the engine. I would never have a race car without one.
