I've been racing a Duster for years, and I can't see how you could get one with a 318 in it under 3000 lbs. with driver in legal stocker trim. Duster 318 I would shoot for O, but if you don't remove everything possible and put light weight brakes etc, you'll be closer to P weight.
If the car has frame connectors,a roll bar and 8 3/4 rear it will most likely be between 3000- 3100 lbs without the driver.
Good luck,
George

Driver weight of 170lbs is automatically added to factor weight so even if you weigh 120, you'll have to put 50 more pounds of ballast in car the make up the difference.

On your weight/class question, you cannot exceed max weight that would put you into next class up so your answer is yes, you have to go up to O or P.
