Yes, '87 and '88 models are the same. I had thought about changing the hood and front nose and running it as a 5.0 HO since the Mustang engine is legal in the T-Birds. question: When the car rolls across the scales at a NHRA event for a Q/SA car, is it weighed with me in it ? ....and with me in it, does the total must be at least 3,400 lbs ? ....or is it a minimum 3,400 lbs without driver ? Thanks

All cars are weighed with driver. That's where the "170 pounds" comes in. Weight break x NHRA HP + 170 = min wt across the scales with driver. All the weights I listed earlier are the min wt, for each class, with driver.
