Why don't you run the truck in S/G to get it sorted out and let the kid get his feet wet in the Mustang in S/St???

Just a thought...

Jason, we have thought about that, and letting him get some bracket time in the truck this year. The truck was built for him its what he wanted, I am considering racing the Altered myself this comming year.

For right now our plans seem to be leaning towards me in the Altered him in the Mustang till the truck is finished. Then he will switch to the truck, and we will convert the Mustang into a Drag Radial heads up car.

CBS, thanks I have always gotten good advice from here. I have taken too long to get back to racing and seems like I am having to learn it all over again. I spent the last few years getting the kids on the track and going consistantly. Now my oldest son is 18 and ready for a full size car, its time for me to get back into racing more. I have to tell you trying to run 2 Jr's alone is hard enough trying to run my car too was too much.

CBS
Yeah, with ridiculous entry fees, a laughable payout, lame pit parking, dumb electronics...what did I forget?

NHRA sucks...IHRA sucks...NMCA sucks...ADRL sucks.

The TNT Super Series is pretty good though...

Freddie,,,

I like your approach of letting your son get his feet wet at 10:90 first ,,,, the racing is just as competitive in S/ST as S/G ,,,, the difference is the MPH , when something goes wrong , seat time and driving experence will get you through most situations without getting hurt and/or wrecking ,,,,,,, I've seen GOOD young drivers get in a lot of trouble when something goes wrong , car comes around , other driver crossing line ,liquids on track , hard braking on the big end , engine failures etc......

I also like your enthusiasm and fresh attitude ,,,, some time I think we whine so much that we forget how forunate we are that we can particpate in this sport !!!

Eddie: man I have been chomping at the bit lately to get back at it. I used to run nothing but NHRA divisionals and nationals, but when the kids started commingm, and the business took off I had to get out of it. Kids are now grown, Business has been closed and sold off the parts, and it has only taken us three years to get our youngest in winning form in his Jr., the 18 yr old has held his own this year in brackets, and I did ok with some index classes. But I still miss the big races, just the fun of being there with your car, making your run down the track and hopefully getting a win light or two. I really enjoyed all the hospitality we have been shown from other racer who we have met in the past three years of getting back to it, it has shown me why I love this sport soo much.
