The 396 and 427 intakes were later legal for A/SA as Kenny Koonce used one on his 1970 Chevelle LS-6 car in stock.

Edelbrock Model #C427
Used for the 1970 LS-6 454 cars in Super Stock




Later, the new version Edelbrock Model #C427X,
which I think came out in 1971.



Both manifolds designed for 'rectangular-port' cylinder heads,
and carburetor mounting base for the Model #4150 800 CFM Holley.

* Cecil County Drag-O-Way, Maryland (June)
* Island Dragway, New Jersey (July)
* York U.S. 30 Drag-O-Way, Pennsylvania (August)
* Connecticut Dragstrip, Connecticut (September)

Ray Allen 1970
* Won SS/EA Class at the Indy Nationals (September)
* Won Super Stock Eliminator at the World Finals (October)
* Won Super Stock Eliminator at the Supernationals (November)

* 1970 World Champion (Super Stock)
* Ned 1 Points Champion (Super Stock)
* Won '9' consecutive Super Stock Eliminator Events @ Englishtown
* Won $40,000 in prize money over a 6-week period (10/8 thru 11/20)

Mike,

Don Grotheer did not run a SS/E Hemi Plymouth Superbird,,,

He did run a 1969 1/2 (440 6-barrel) Road Runner, 4-speed in SS/G.
