Default Reaction time factors

I have two questions regarding reaction time:

Has anyone ever noticed a difference in keeping their trans brake solenoid cleaned and lubricated? It seems mine got dirty and once I cleaned it, it sped up my r/t? Do other people regulary maintain this to have consistent r/ts?

I know an aging converter can affect r/t, but is there a specific symptom for this? Assuming the r/t problem is not the driver, is there a way that I can tell it's my converter affecting my r/t and not something else?

Thanks,
