Let me be the first to welcome you here. This is a great site to ask questions. Now to answer your question, first, no I am not a tech inspecter. Two, if your 67 with 232 six came with a 4 speed from the factory, then yes you can use an aftermarket 4 speed manual trans. If it didn't come with a 4 speed then no you can't use a aftermarket 4 speed. Basically what ever came factory with your engine/body combo is that # of gears you must use. 2,3,or 4 speed, auto or manual. Overdrive does not count as a gear. I am putting together a 91 S-10 4.3 with a stick. Factory trans is a 5 speed, 4 with overdrive, but gotta use a 4 speed. If yours is a 3 speed with overdrive then you gotta use a 3 speed trans.aftermarket such as jerico, g-force, richmond, etc.as long as it is NOT a clutchless set-up. STOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick.

All them aftermarket transmissions are expensive. I'm thinking a t-10 in my stocker too, at least to start. Hate to break it to yah but if your engine/body combo came with a 3 speed, then thats what you gotta use. Check on this site for trans, also on racingjunk, ebay, and craigslist. Keep us up to date on how your project is going, and post pics, we love pics. STOCKERS RULE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Rick.

i've actually got 2 going but 1 will be a bracket car.
we've got a stickshift only series that sounds like fun to me....
the car is a 69 american, 350/4speed/9" kinda deal.
just about finished with the front suspension (mustang II) and then it's off to the rear end ($$$$)
wasn't planning on a back half car but here we go anyway...
