I need to get some delay from my transbrake switch in my bracket car. Couple of questions?
1. Whats the difference between the Terminator and the Harrington type switch besides the price? 2. Do you guys mount it next to your shifter or closer to the dash? 3. Pull your thumb to the side as to flick it or yank arm back like setting the hook on a large mouth bass? Thanks for the help. Tony

The terminator switch will give you between .040 and .045 worth of delay over most of the standard microswitch based switches out there. The switch itself has close to .01 delay in the make-up of the switch itself, with the rest of the (.03 to .035) delay in the travel of it. We provide shims which makes it easy to adjust it between rounds.
The Harrington switch (yes it is named after our buddy Jim Harrington who was the first to use it!), has between .025 and .030 worth of delay. That switch is priced less than the terminator and is a very good value for a guy who needs a minimal amount of delay. Comparing the 2 switches, most people seem to like the terminator switch because of how easy it is to depress. It is softer and smoother. Tony, I guess it all depends on how much range of travel/ delay you are looking for, along with which switch is more comfortable to you and your driving style. As far as mounting it to the wheel, the dash, or near the shifter- that all depends on where you are most comfortable. I prefer to have the terminator mounted further away from my body than I would a conventional short throw button because of the amount of travel it has. Hope this helps, Peter Biondo |

Looks as though I am going to need the Terminator. I normally race s/st, but this is my trusty nova I have had for years, I always foot braked it, then I switched to a glide with a transbarke leaving on the bootm bulb. Completely different than what I have been used to. I went out to test it on three different occasions and went .o30 red almost every pass, had a couple of good 0 lights, but mostly red. So I am going to need the most because in competition its going to get worse.

I have a new, never used AX button from Biondo. I had 2 and used one in Super Stock until NHRA wouldn't allow them in Super Stock any more. I sold the used one to a bracket racer. Biondo gets 349.99 on their site. I will sell it for 100.00. Check it out on their site. Here's one line.....The "AX" is infinitely adjustable from .000 - .400 (that is 4 tenths, folks). I loved it!
