Default Re: minimum weight

I'm not the right guy to evaluate Chrysler combos, (or any others for that matter). It seems like 280 HP is fairly low for the engine specs, but that 280 was last changed in June 2003. It would be interesting to know whether the adjustment was up or down and why. Someone has been messing with that engine in super stock since it was just changed to 290 HP last June. Might have been a letter asking for an adjustment or someone might have run too fast with it.

The only experience I have with a 383 is trying to avoid getting a heads-up against Jerry Bennett's '62 Savoy with the 383/343 engine. That one has two AFBs and a bit more cam than your engine, but it also has a 320 HP NHRA rating, 40 HP more than yours.

There are lots of Chrysler guys on this site, maybe they will chime in.
