If you're concerned about gas fumes you could use body putty on the edges. I think it's called splatz?

If it is not in a sealed box, then it just needs to be separated from the driver compartment with .022" steel or .032" aluminum as a firewall.

AFCO (and a few others) make this really nice battery hanger for like $25.00 (Madman sells them for like $80.00). You can put it in the spare tire area of your car and make a simple sheet metal o aluminum cover to go over that area, then put your factory interior panels back on.
Simple and clean looking. |
