Default Gear and Tire Selection

Okay guys, my Cleveland is not turning the R's quick enough. I think I have too much tire (32x14 M/T's stiff sidewall 102 roll out) and not enough gear (5.67). Where would you guys start first, smaler tire with less roll out or go up to a 6.00 gear? I don't have the ends right now to upgrade the gear set in the tranny so I need to go another root. Any help would be appreciated.

I would think with that SBF you need more gear, 6.00-6.20, whats your first gear ratio?

Stephen,

The C-4 has a 2.46 first gear ratio if I'm not mistaken.

On my 10.0 ET 4 speed bracket car, stiff sidewall 14x32 Goodyears (1984 version) slowed my car down by 2 mph and almost 1 full tenth over a regular sidewall tire. May be something to look at..
