Looks to be still overfull. I?m all about performance but who are ya saving the combos for? If I could go 1.30 under o well I?ll take the hit and still work on it to be the fastest with my combo. I currently have the worst combination in the world and it pisses me off but it?s also a fun challenge to make it the best it can be. I?m not lifting or saving anything if we are lucky we have maybe 5-6 more years of NHRA.. I?m going to enjoy and hate it while I can.

Angry Re: AHFS at Indy?

I have gone to Indy 18 straight years and I have stayed for all 6 days all of those years. With this asinine decision by the NHRA, I will not be going to Indy this year. I will be canceling my rental car and hotel reservations; and I haven't bought tickets yet because I was waiting to see if AHFS would be in effect. Leave it to the NHRA to screw something else up.

The US Nationals should be a "let 'er rip" event! No doubt.

I have been there twice, 2021 and 2023. In both cases, I knew it would be tough to make the field. 2021 was the COVID mess, but did qualify and won a round. 2023 got in as a alternate. Won a couple of rounds and cashed a check.

I went because I wanted to experience THE greatest event on the NHRA schedule. Mission accomplished.

You haven't been there, go! Don't put it off. You might wake up some day and can't walk. That's what happened to me.

Life can change in a hurry. Take advantage of your opportunities while you can!

Normally I would laugh at NHRA'S short comings, but this was the only race I was looking forward to going to... Not anymore.

I'm sure Junior Dragsters will put on a great show at this circus.

Get together and run Class like Gaffney does the AA shootout. 30 pounds under the maximum and self police it. That gets 95% down to 95 under.

As much as I like this idea, the effects are more harsh on combinations with lower torque to hp ratios like the NA cobra jets.

If IHRA is smart, they will announce their Columbus race (a twin to the first race) which is a week after Indy, will include Class eliminations and of course will not include AHFS, which they don't do anyway...And attach some type of nice payout for class winners. 500 bucks or something. I know it would be somewhat more expense, but they would put a hurt on Indy.
