Another update from Facebook:
Well, today was a better day?last night dad started to respond to some commands and opened his eyes a little. After a couple episodes yesterday that looked like seizure activity and a resulting EEG, Neurology came by today and said that they did not see ANY seizure activity. His surgeon is also ?pleased? (whew! A positive word) with how his liver numbers are improving and his kidneys were stabilizing. We had some times of him opening his eyes and trying to look at us. He is working on waking up?it?s just taking some time. Once they get him more awake and able to sit up a little, they will get the breathing tube out. They keep reminding us that this is a marathon, not a sprint and Dr. Superman (his name is a long name that we can?t remember)reminds us that it is in God?s hand which is the best hands they could be in. |

More good news posted by Don's daughter on Facebook today. They removed chest tubes today and heart assist device. Dr's are surprised how well he's improving. Keep the prayers coming.

Absolutely prayers are coming from me. This past spring hasn't been kind to my biological family, so I have to pray harder for my racing family.
Get Well soon Don, as I hope to race with you this coming November in Vegas!

Don has had numerous issues since his surgery. He has experienced lung issues which have resulted in breathing problems. There was fluid in his lungs and blood clots. The feeding tube had to be put back in because the doctors felt he wasn’t eating enough. He was in rehab but was then sent back to the ICU. The bottom line is that Don needs more prayers….While we are all enjoying the next few weeks at the track, PLEASE keep Don and Sharon and the family in your prayers ….
