2025 Race schedule
Hope everyone had a great holiday season, spending time with the family or your favorite race car. Since the end of the 2024 season there has been a lot of time to think about what we are going to do. I have had a lot of talks with Steve, Larry and Ricky about what we are going to do, I have also taken in conversation with other racers over the years. I discussed my idea with the group and everybody was in agreement with it. Let me start with the definition of insanity, doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. So we are not doing the same thing this year.
Here is what we are changing.
We are having one race weekend will be a double header at Woodburn on September 13-14th. This makes no interference with any races on the west coast.
No membership
$100 per race plus what the track charges to get in, just like normal.
Things we are not changing
As it has always been in the past, pay out all money at the end of the day.
We will also doing qualifying like last year one race will be off index the other off reaction time.
Question,comments hit me up.
Thanks everyone

Re: 2025 Race schedule
If there is any chance at adding a second dbl header, I would think that Seattle would be the best bet. It's the most centrally located so would probably have the best chance at a decent car count. From memory over these past few years, it definitely got the bast car count.

Escort engine is on the dyno right now, I plan to get the Comet engine on the dyno right after that. Comet is pretty much finished pending getting the engine final installed. Trust me, I am very frustrated that it is taking me this long to get this project finished and on the track. Jim

Re: 2025 Race schedule
Jim, as James indicated, i did reach out to Pacific about possible dates for a Sat/Sun 2 day event.
Very difficult to get 2 day event at Pacific.
Discussed other tracks but , past history of turn outs were so low we thought best to stick to one double event in 2025.
We hope there's a strong turn out at Woodburn that will generate more interest in Stock and Super Stock class racing.

I would have suggested Bremerton also but it seems like a lot of the Stock/SS guys are really down on 1/8 mile stuff, not sure why though?

Re: 2025 Race schedule
I plan to be at this pair of races.
How about some money paid for a perfect run during eliminations?
Just to make it clear - .000 on the tree and dead on the dial.
Another idea pay some money for the best losing package 1st round each day.
If you guys and gals think this will work, I will figure out the amounts for each idea and I will provide the money for them. I talked briefly about this with Rick Green the other day.

Ron that's very generous of you to provide the funds to do your suggested pay outs.
Everything helps.
Please let James, Ricky or myself know the payout total you wish to use and we will get something in place .
