If mine had a build up of crud on it, I would clean it too. A thin film of grease, maybe a synthetic like Amsoil would be fine, but would attract dirt, requiring it to be cleaned again at some point.. A dry film lube should also be okay. Not a lot of pressure on those parts. just need to work smoothly. |
