We have heavy wind here today, sustained at 25 MPH with gusts to 55 MPH. We wanted to reduce risk and eliminate the need for chutes for our fastest categories. The plan is to go back to quarter mile for race 2, when the forecast is much better.

Wish the Sorensen brothers would make the trek to Indy, would definitely pay to see Jim and Joe run heads up in class.
