Has anyone experienced a failure with MSD coil part #8207. Just looking for a reason why this happened on a coil that is about 3 years old. I had no prior warning just a no start condition. I found that the center carbon contact in the distributor cap was missing . I don't know if that led to the coil failure.

I had a MSD pro power coil burn a whole thru the top after 2 races. I called MSD and they said there had been some problems with them to send it back. My Local speed shop defected it for me.

Well I can say for sure all my grounds are good. I did a voltage drop test and all is good. Prior to the coil failure the car ran the number is always does. I'm thinking it's just a fluke have a coil fail. I've left a message with MSD and am waiting to hear back. Thanks
