Ed, Ed, Ed. You are replying far too early in the morning. Walk the dog,
have a coffee, relax, it's only January, we don't want you to burn out early. We need this level of entertainment until early spring, then we can cut you loose. You keep mentioning my oil control problem. Guess what?? Don't have one. I've run my car with less oil than I like to, never a problem. Oil pressure gauge never makes a move, same when I download my data. You asked me at the beginning of this thread, what band aid I was looking for, and I told you then I was just being pro active. You just chose not to believe me, so you continue the drama you desire. In the meantime, some really good people have given their experiences, thoughts and ideas. I have enjoyed the thread so far. Who has stated their experience using an accusump, pro or con other than Steve, Mike and JGross? Starting with post #19 this thread went off the rails with mostly opinion and attacks on my opinion.

In the unfortunate circumstance that one would loae oil pressure going down track, an accusump COULD save an engine. It might give one a second or two to shut the engine off instead of a 30k+ failure. By no means a bandaid, or cure-all, but in our world, 1-2 seconds means everything

Barry, race engines can and do break when you actually race which you don't. It ain't the first and won't be the last engine that fails due to a component failure and no an accusump wouldn't have prevented it. Further, the engine had over 150 passes on it when it failed something you and most stock racers don't log in 3 seasons no mind a single season.
