I might be picking your brain for more info on this project, if you don’t mind? I was also looking at the 383 as a possibility. Nothing is set in stone yet.

I bought the 72 industrial block, turns over nice with no ring groove, very clean inside, no heads. Small thick balancer and roller chain.
