Dean Cook passes

Dean Cook Sr., long time NHRA Stock racer, passed away on Sunday, August 6. Dean was a true gentlemen. He was always willing to help out and would give you the shirt off his back. I first met Dean in the late 70s when I was just starting out in Stock. He was running a U/S Falcon at the time and was helpful in showing me the ropes. He won many Divisional and National events with his record holding Mustang. This is a tremendous loss to the Division 1 community. He will be sorely missed. Condolences to his family. Funeral arrangements as follows:

Sorry to hear of Dean's passing, we first met at a swap met in the early 70's both looking for 351 Cleveland parts.

This has been a tough one for me..I've known Dean for almost 50 years.
Always a gentleman and humble. Dean was always interested in what we had going on at the time. He had to be prodded to talk about himself.
