Put a new roof panel on my 55 Chevy. Didn't even damage the headliner. Had help from a friend who is good panel guy. We glued it back on. Getting the old one off, and cleaning up mounting surface was the hard part.

I took the roof off my 64 Savoy in 2 hours (stripped already) to weld up the top of cage. Melted the lead at the joints then drilled out spot welds. If I did it again I’d just use a saws all at the lead joints. Tig it back, lead it and be done.
