Default Moroso 20812 oil pan.

Ignore the title the number is wrong. Is anybody using pan 20182? If you look on Moroso’s website. It shows a one piece stamped pan. But if you look on any of the mail order pages. It shows a pan with the bottom of the sump welded on. It’s on the NHRA approved list. But I’m told your not supposed to have welds on the outside of the pan. Just want to make sure it is a one piece stamped pan. Before I buy one. Then If you look on Jegs page it shows the welded sump pan. But if you buy it from them through Amazon it’s a one piece pan in the picture. Thanks in advance for any help I can get here to confirm which one it is. I’ve sent emails to Moroso and all the mail order companies. Nobody will reply.

Correct 20182 is the one. I switched numbers in the title. And didn’t realize it until I posted the thread. And it won’t let me edit it.

There are several other oil pans in the NHRA Accepted parts list, for other applications, that are welded and not stamped.

As an example, the approved Chevy II Milodon Oil Pan, P/N 31060 is welded.

I guess somebody saw this at one of the companies and just emailed me. It’s a 1 piece stamped pan. I’m just trying to be careful and not cause myself problems and headaches later. By buying or doing stuff thats not right.

Thanks guys

Call Moroso and ask for Scott Hall. I'm sure he will be able to help you out. They will also do custom work on the inside of the pan if want. BP
