I seem to remember there being a magazine article YEARS ago and I think that it involved Sheldon Gecker's S/G car. It was very informative.

On my 4335 wt. Olds wagon it actually 60 ft better with weight behind rear end. I did not have a good legal place to bolt it in the back so I put weight on floor behind front seat and lost .03 60ft time.
On my bracket car I ran a no prep race and put weight under back seat and it worked out pretty good. It was only 140 lb. I heard some were putting in 300 lb to make it leave better. I didn't have that much weight to try Last edited by Jeff Stout; 09-20-2021 at 03:01 PM. Reason: more |

For the best weight transfer the weight should be as far back and as high as you can put it legally.
