My 1995 Formula is a one-of-one car with 186 miles. I hope to have it back out soon.

I don't believe so......been wrong before though. The engines are, for the most part, the same in both forms. The only difference, if I remember right, from when Dave told me is.....the street version (non RO) doesn't have a hood scoop and no transistor ignition. The RO's had both the hood scoop and ignition. Not sure if anything else is different. NHRA rates them both the same I think.....that's why Dave runs his as an RO
I'll ask Dave when I see him again. Last edited by Eric Bell; 11-11-2020 at 10:45 PM. |

No pics and I don't think they race it anymore, but Willie D. and Lyle Smith's T-Bolt at least deserves a mention here. Maybe someone has photos, which I believe it was a Gas Ronda car. Even though there are lots of special cars that are not raced anymore, their history is simply awesome and deserves respect.
As a footnote, I just discovered that Mr. Smith passed away in September, my apologies to the family, for mentioning him without permission. Last edited by Terry Drinkwater; 11-12-2020 at 08:43 AM. Reason: Update |
