Making a lot of assumptions aren't we, Gary? You think having 6 children in 10 years or so is excessive? I'm sure you wouldn't have liked the alternative either; but would it be surprising to learn that you're probably not all that concerned with the welfare of children AFTER they are born? There are also a great many people who come from large families. Some very religious people think that's wonderful! But I'm not really sure why that seems like a problem to you, or why you think that ALL of them (discounting the younger ones who can't legally hold a job, correct?) might be unemployed? What exactly did you mean by that statement? I'm sure you wouldn't knowingly use a "racist" trope on Class Racer. And where did you get your information about the Family's employment status? But on a happier note, it looks like Arizona is turning more "PURPLE"! So hopefully there will be a lot more going on out there to upset you even more! Cheers! ![]()

Pretty much the democrats mantra, kill them before they are born.......then go crazy for a death sentence of a multiple killer.

Sure sounded like a version of the old "Welfare Queen" trope to me! But, hey, I could be wrong. You still didn't answer my original, valid, question - How, where, when did you hear that the 23 (give or take) members of his extended Family were unemployed (and by that inferring they are living on public assistance)? And a further request - why does that even matter?

As Jim correctly mentioned, there is no "Obamacare". It's called the Affordable Care Act (ACA). You know, the one that our president* and the Republican's in Congress have been trying to get rid of for almost 4 years, without having anything to replace it with. But maybe you don't need any coverage for a pre-existing condition, which you might not be able to obtain without the ACA. And at the risk of assuming anything, I'd guess your $1500 monthly premium check goes to an insurance company, and not to the Treasury? Do you get to go to special hospitals, or the regular ones like the rest of us? Glad you mentioned Canada! You know they have private hospitals there, don't you? Some rather famous ones too - many Americans go up there for treatment. You know, the folks who can afford it. (Not sure why you think you know so much about my situation, but you seem to be wrong a lot. But if you know so much, how about getting the VA to treat my Non-Service Connected disability - they don't take my Tricare!)

Those of us who are self employed know what a piece of crap obama care is. Our income varies year to year and we will never get on the "exchange" due to the severe fines (taxes as Roberts defines it) that are levied for exceeding income thresholds. Our private insurance premium is $17.2k a year and that doesn't include co-pay and it's a far superior policy for much less money than obamacare. I'm sure you're aware the federal gov gets a healty cut for administratiing that piece of crap exchange. You know so little about so much. I didn't want to disappoint you Jim.

Republicans should like ti too. After all, the ACA was based on a proposal by the Heritage Foundation and was the basis of Bob Dole's healthcare plan when he ran for president in 1996.
In short, Republicans were for it until they were against it. Quote:

Also keep in mind that any increases that occurred in 2018 or after are the result of changes the Trump administration made to the ACA. SO if your costs went up for 2018 or later, blame Trump. Not true.

We are now back to when Bob Dole ran for president? Oh, I remember back to whistle stops by "Ike".
Let's go back a little further and clarify that democrats intended to keep slavery and Republicans wanted to abolish it. Who screwed up?

While you're drifting back on Memory Lane, Gary, don't forget Strom Thurmond and the "Dixiecrats" who splintered-off when the Civil Rights Act was passed. Wasn't that also about the same time George "Segregation Now, Segregation Tomorrow, Segregation Forever!" Wallace ran for President and managed to receive 13.4% of the Popular Vote? Times (and minds) have changed. The Democratic Party of today is no more the organization that gave us Thurmond and Wallace then the Trump (Republican) Party we now have is "still the party of Lincoln". It's history - get over it.
