Jim, you're going to have to refresh my memory on this one. Was it your combo or the Super6?

OK, who went to the trouble of getting the 2001 Ford Crown Victoria/Mercury Grand Marquis into the class guide?
4.6L mod motor, rated at 220hp at a 17.xx weight break - so either Q/SA at 3910 or R/SA at 4130. Similar specs and shared parts with the Mustang GT, which is at 260. Anything to see here? |

Wow LMAO !!! just listed in two days ago... Correct me if I'm wrong 2001 is the 2V with the PI heads, intake and cams? If so, the non PI 2v is running 5-6 under at 207 hp in a mustang, so this should be a decent combo, worth looking at.. And probably, the 99-04 mustang at 260 is way high for that engine, never saw one recently in stock eliminator, what a shame considering how many were built..

I just figured that you, Mark, or Dwight had a few ideas saved for a rainy day.
![]() Most of the combos in this thread are still untouched. The '82 Mustang/Capri is still at 157hp (less than some of the other 302 2-bbls that have been hit). The '79 Mustang/Capri is still at 143hp. If you're a GM fan, all of those 305 2bbls are still at 180hp, and I've seen a few run well. There are dozens of different ways you could build one - I think they would all be fun! My two favorites are still the '85 Lincoln and the '96-'98 Mustang V6 (I know Will Lamprecht is working on one!). Last edited by Nick Heath; 03-18-2020 at 11:42 PM. |

I talked to Lee Tuttle in the staging lanes at the Baby Gators. I was very impressed with his 305 2bbl Camaro. A second under in R/SA!
