I was hoping so! That car has so much race heritage and many, many wins...it will be great to have back in action in our area.

About 3 years ago, I was racing in a Stock/Super Stock race in Hagerstown, MD. After I was done for the day (lost), I took off the 4GC on my 65 Malibu J/S 327/250 and put on the 3721 AFB. It sounded good and was real responsive. After the run I was disappointed
to see that it ran just about what the 4GC did. The 4GC was one that I did myself and the AFB was done by a known Stock racer. Since then I have not tried it again and built a 327/350 and am VERY satisfied with the way it has run. Jim Henderson E/S 1029 |

Cool to have Chuck's wagon set to run again! I have an attachment to it as Herman Korf and I built that car in my garage and his. It was built to match my SStock Chevelle wagon at the time, but Herman ran it as a Stocker. Herman than traded his wagon for Chuck's '65 Chevelle 4-dr sedan SStocker, but then ran the 4-dr as a Stocker. The trade must have taken place around 1980.
Does the car still have the silver/blue 40 year old paint job? Lotta wins in that car. Chuck was a (good a**hole - ask Don Prudomme) and a great driver. Jerry |
