Yes what was it, three or four years ago if anything was modified on a car it would kill the price.

Now a well modernized car is what brings top dollar at least at this auction.

Light weight MoPars are selling for a fraction of what they brought 10-15 years ago.

I just don`t get it, When an Elenore, which is a fictional Shelby Mustang recreation of a recreation of a fictional movie brings more money than what THREE real Shelby Mustangs go for, the world is out of wack. And when two aluminum nose Max Wedge MoPars can`t get 1/2 as much as a Volkswagen Van does, I just shake my head.

Changing times...the people spending the money now are of a younger age bracket than the average Max Wedge owner. They identify with Pro Touring, and TV/movie cars they grew up with.

My new Challenger T/A that I drive daily gets way more attention from those of similar age to me than my '65 Coronet street beater. I prefer the Coronet, and I'm in the "Under 40" age bracket. I personally enjoy watching the prices tank on these cars, as I was never in it for the money, but the fact that I enjoy early Mopars.

I have always admired the folks that have raced their light weight cars. Hopefully more will race now.
