Re: Nova stocker project.
Good that you found those problems early.
Looking forward to those dyno sheets.

Re: Nova stocker project.
Yes...the lobes had begun to look herky earlier in the season but the leading/trailing edges of the nose were still okay. The lash wasn't changing but toward the end of the season it got 'flat' and unresponsive to changes so I wasn't surprised to see half a dozen like this when I took it apart.
The last pass on it was at the Div 5 Nat. Open at Kearney, Ne and it went -.88 and change under. Stocker Life.....

Re: Nova stocker project.
What lifter are you using and how crazy is the spring pressure?

Re: Nova stocker project.
tell us what you found out about the spots on the cam lobes. I had the same thing happen on two different engines and got all kinds of reason's for it happening but nothing definite. Oil, spring pressure, lifters etc... etc. Sure would be nice to know for sure what caused it.

Alan
You should think about running the Stock Super Stock combo races @ Bandimere. There will be several G/SA cars there, so your Chevy will feel right at home. Denver's cars are usually fast so you'll have good cars to compare to. |

Re: Nova stocker project.
Thats great! Let me know when your coming. I think in this area of the country the Denver weather is better, the track is better, less wind, of course the baro is horrible but its all relative. Kearney is always a train wreck for me, I like the town but never seen to be able to get it done there, the weather always gets me.

Re: Nova stocker project.
Alan,
Good luck during the off-season! No rest for those in a performance based category, as there is always something to improve on or look at. Sean
