Great job as usual Boss on the reporting! Some of you might have noticed but I was the no show in Stock. It really appears it's just not meant for me to go to Maple Grove, last year we had the hurricane to deal with. This year my dad passed away last Sunday but when a spot opened up on Monday I got back in and really had all intentions of going however misguided as it was at the moment. Well some things came up with work Tuesday and Wednesday and I got those taken care of rushed home late Wednesday took a shower and was ready to hit the road anyway. By the time I got all cleaned up I think I realized I was physically and emotionally drained so I threw in the towel so to speak. Congrats to all the winners and especially my ole buddy Bob Bender for giving me something to cheer about this week!

The boss did his usual fantastic job, all of our live reporters really ease the "pain" of not being there, especially in this case since the Grove is on my bucket list and it just never got below quota. Next year I'll have more than my current 4 grade points and hopefully can get in. Despite my misgivings about NHRAtv, having the opportunity too see the sportsman champion interviews on the return road was a big bonus. Looks like the stock championship is going down to the wire even with Santangelo winning since Jody kept pace and there are several who have a shot. Promises to be quite the race and plan on even attending Vegas to see how it unfolds.

Cooter, my deepest sympathies for your loss and look forward to seeing you again at Galot or the Rock.

Looking at all you said here, I'd say you made the right choice. Losing a parent is overwhelming and very intense to say the least. I lost my Mom in 1996 and my Dad in 1997 and still miss them ALOT. Take your time and remember all the good things. Good luck to you and hope things go well for you. Godspeed to your Dad.
