I believe Kip's car is for sale in SC. It was owned by a chassis shop that is directly across the street from Carolina dragway?.I think it was NRC chassis? I would try there. When it was for sale they had a great deal on buying everything.

Thank you everyone, I mailed the chassis shop, but no reply yet. I mailed Don Keen and Dave Moreno, and both answered, so I've asked more questions. Maybe a little more than planned spend, and really would like a real CJ rather than a clone, but its a great pedigree so worthy of a few questions. Maybe I'll try that phone no. too. But what is the car ?
As for the 2010 car, sounds great, but its too new for me, in an ideal world I'd hoped to find a 65 or 66, but would consider a 67-70. Nothing newer though. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks. Tim |

You could not do better than Don Keen's Mustang.....
It is a proven winner. By the time we cut and tear up these cars........ Original #'s do not make much difference. The history of Don's car does!

You can't believe how much better off you would be by buying a proven race car with a history of winning lots of rounds. To start from scratch, build or get a
motor, trans, converter, and go through all kinds of chassis set ups just to arrive at a decent baseline of consistency is a lot of work, time, and probably more money than buying the right thing the first time. Having been there and done that is what nearly everybody on this forum has done and would agree with. |
