Unless you build a FWD car, nothing has changed is you have a RWD car. I spent lots of time sending letters to NHRA to allow the replacement of the K member with a tubular type and retain the OEM lower control arms and it was rejected. This is the reason why I ended turning my RWD car into a Comp Super Modified car. |

No kidding? Man I would have thought the NHRA would have changed that by now. I was asking because I know of two cars that run Modified Stock that used to run IHRA and switch to NHRA occasionally that have tubular cross members and have gotten by with it. I was hoping to gain a little room but I don't want to risk it. Thanks for the info!

You need the stock A arms , but you can modify the stock front cross member to make it easier to remove the oil pan .

That's what I have already done. Just figured it would be a little less bulky if I could run a tubular cross member. No big deal. Pretty crappy that they allow the FWD stuff all the goodies. Thanks.
