Since there are 4 lanes available to run cars, how do they use them?
If they are running a class, there should be two cars staged in one set of lanes and two ready to start burnout in the other two lanes. When the first pair leaves, the second pair starts burnout. Meanwhile in the first two lanes, the next pair is pulling up to burnout box. This should cut the time it takes to run a class almost in half. If they don't do it this way, why have a 4 lane track? Also, why are there weepers at this track? Its relatively new in the drag racing world. It should have been built with the best drainage or raised above the rest of the area to prevent such weeping.

I don't ever recall there being trouble with weepers here before but not surprised with the amount of rain this week they already had then 1" plus on Thursday night, probably didn't help things.

If there were four cars in class and they said, "you guys line up", would you run four wide for a class win? I think it would be awesome. I'd qualify four wide if NHRA could prep a safe racetrack.
We got caught in some bad weather at the LV race last spring and only got one qualifying run. It's an awful feeling if it isn't going right.

I feel the pain for everybody I really do.
That being said... At the Seattle Nationals in 07. Super Stock went into 1st round of elims with ZERO qualifying hits. None, zip, 0... It definitely sucks. |

Good morning all, and sorry about the lack of reports and photos. The internet was pretty slow during the day as there was a large crowd here. Stock and Super Stock probably wont be out until after 1:00.
Its cooler today, but there is bright sunshine out this morning and should be all day. I am staying for the finals and will have more photos from today's action later today or tomorrow. Here some random shots for the Showdown cars and Super Stock. |

Factory Showdown qualifying was a descent show with several cars into the "O 's". DSR was number 1 on the final sheet, top speed was 174 and change. Track prep for qualifying was real good, it was sprayed and rubbed to 330'. Its a tuners game, and what a game to watch!
