Call Reher & Morrison. David put me onto Isky Red Zones when I was having lifter problems. They have built a lot of big block Chevies, I would expect them to know. They may have something better now.

Morrel have been the best for me. Make sure what ever brand you buy has the high pressure pin oiling feature. Also years ago I quit using street car motor oil. I only use a premium quality racing motor oil. Haven't had any lifter problems since.

I ran Crower HIPPO lifters for many years, changing them out at each freshen. Never a problem.

One season I tried to save a few bucks and used Comp Cams lifters. Lost on in August of their first season, and had to tear everything down for cleanup.

I now use the bushed lifters rather than those with needle bearings. I have Isky .842 in one engine and Crower Enduramax .937 in the other. The Iskys went 2.5 seasons before a freshen, and I put them back in where they have run another season. I haven't made enough passes with the Crower to say anything either way, but so far so good.

Bushed lifters are the way to go. They just wear and destroy parts like when a needle bearings go away
