Cool Re: Wild Horse Stock Full @ 3 g.p.

Don't forget to include National Opens for grade point accumulations. It would be possible, here in southwest Div.7, to go twice to Vegas for divisional, Fontana for the Open(usually a fun time), and later the Divisional at Fontana. I'm glad they host any kind of race for us at all, since so many tracks won't anymore. It will be interesting to see what happens next year with the Utah track gone. Maybe the double race weekend will be moved closer to home. Best way to make a way through a bad thing is to figure out a way through it. More National Opens in Div.7 would be nice!!

I had a awaking about grade points when we moved to TN> in the west I thought most of the time a racer can get into a national event with a grade point of 4 now here in TN I cannot get into any National even so far with a Grade point of 4 must have 5 or more . Just more population and racers out here .lol

It seems every year this same topic comes up , stacking problems, the bowl, ect . The same personnel at the track I'm sure hearing the same complaints year after year. Chuck is trying to do a good job, a thankless job but without his bosses giving him the ok it is what it is. The race will happen regardless , most racers know what they are getting into and by seeing most classes full that speaks for itself. Don't get me wrong there is room for improvement .....Just an outsiders view from the outside, but this is one of my home tracks...SO I may be bias...LOL

PS . This summer they laid down chip sealer over the pit paved surface...

Don't forget the Indians don't need the track. If the traffic and crowds mess with their casino and hotel business they could shut it down in a heartbeat. It's up to the NHRA to straighten it out.

The grade point system is much better than when there wasn't won. Back in the day, you would get a questionnaire from nhra at the end of the previous year asking what national events you were planning on attending. You filled it out and about 1 month prior to the event you would get a form and send in your money and hope you got a confirmation back that you got in. There would be 100+ entries for the national and only 30+ for the divisional held at the same track. Now if you want to race at the big races, you have to participate at the smaller ones first. They had to develop a system and this one works for the majority of the racers.
How many people remember back before there were run "sessions" for your class??? Now that was a crap shoot on getting to run.

Just goes to show you each racer has a different view of the same event ...
If it was a perfect world we all would be racing 7 days a week, and winning every event.....

Boy you're one of the lucky ones. The lot where NHRA let us pre stack was a total gong show. If everyone went by the order they arrived and were in line things would have gone smooth. I know of a couple of screaming matches and lots of butting in line. Just no common sense by some racers.
