The folks at G-force trans do a nifty procedure installing a Cummins gear tooth sensor into the trans case to eliminate the need of the sensor / magnet in the bell housing - I install the Racepak plug and you are good to go. Pretty cool.

How long has G-Force had that option? It's about time they caught up to what Jerico offers. Can the sensor be clocked in a different location, and not on the top with a GF5R?
Thanks for the info. Sean

What does Jerico offer? We have run Jerico's for a long time. We were always on our own to make parts to do this because Jerico didn't offer anything. I would love to know what they have. That being said, the tooth counter should work on most transmissions correct? I agree about the mounting locations. It would be nice to be able to mount it on the side if it can be done. Superstock is no problem, but a stocker would be a real challenge mounted like that.

Here is an old thread and post 6 has a good picture. http://classracer.com/classforum/sho...ghlight=jerico I know there are a couple of D5 guys with that option from Jerico. Sean

Yes we copied Mark Madison's specs and a fellow racer made the parts for us. I love the Jerico stuff but they had no part of this. LOL.

Note to G-Force: drill the hole in every transmission you sell and cap off. That way when the owner of the transmission realizes he/she needs a data system, the cap can be removed and sensor easily installed. Automaticly figuer it into the price of the transmission. Can it get any easier?

I just threw another sensor with a broken wire away earlier this year. As though fighting a manual trans back in position isn't fun, nothing makes it more enjoyable than trying to fish the sensor cable through the bellhousing at the same time...
