Re: Need trailer
What is your 1/2 ton tow vehicle and how much weight do you expect to be hauling? Think a 20 footer will suffice?

Re: Need trailer
Tundra double cab is my truck the wells cargo I'm looking at 10k gvw 3450 empty weight. Cars I would carry are both 33 3400 figure 1k in extras I'd be 8000 normal loaded Weight, my biggest question is width I towed 28 foot 7 wide Neo sled trailer really well but is getting in and out of a car even possible with 7 or 7,5 wide? Just wondering if anyone tried it, Also anyone with personal experience with the Wells Cargo @7200 bucks its pretty cheap compared to others

Re: Need trailer
Re 7 or 7.5, I am not sure how wide the Gremlin trailer is, I think its either 7.5 or 8 feet, and you have to exit out the back window, and have little room for error. To put it in perspective, the Gremlin is a small car, exactly the same size as a mini cooper s, with the side mirrors turned in. Not a wide car at all. Got out of the mini the same way through the back hatch.
For the cars, you will not regret having a 8.5 foot wide trailer. Not sure if a aluminum frame would be good or bad with our road salt. I have only towed the 24 foot vintage steel once in the snow. Going isn't the issue, its stopping! Don't know what interior you are looking at with the Wells Cargo, I did just snag a light affordable 24 foot trailer myself(2850-2900 lbs),which will be towed either with the 08 v8 4runner, or the 15 Tacoma. Send me a pm if you like, I can tell you about the trailer. Others could likely chime in on the merits or lack thereoff of using a car trailer for sleds. Eric

Re: Need trailer
With the traditional snow bound trailer being on axles with spring clamps on top (for ground clearance) then you're already making a sacrifice using a regular car trailer. Like Eric, just don't see how a narrow trailer would work for you. I've tried one with a small car (1990 BMW 325) and it was just too close...the least bit of bumping around in transit and the car would gotten beaten up on the rocker panels or worse. I'd suggest going Aluminum (the ATC Raven being an example of a cheaper light enclosed) to somewhat limit the amount your tires sink when you're out in the elements. Your Tundra will thank you as well. There's a ton of lower end enclosed trailer manufacturers around and personally haven't seen any one that stands out, if that's your direction go look at several and make your best deal.

Re: Need trailer
Being from NH you should call nh trailers. They build all aluminum trailers in nh and they are awesome. I have had one of their car trailers for 5 years and love it, mine is a 20 plus 4.5v and it only weights 2 200 lbs empty, fits my challenger scooter tool box bench across the front and still has space.
