Default Re: Inline Throttle Stop

I use one on my S/C dragster.

Had a disc plate stop and the inline stop both on the car at the same time during part of 2014

Won a race using the plate stop.
Took it off and ran the inline just to see which might be better.
No real big difference....Just had to juggle stop timer numbers a little.....
Won another race that year with the inline stop.
I keep a very close eye on Stop RPM and everyone knows that's the big issue with Stop racing....

Would I prefer a Max Speed Carb.....absolutely.....but I'm not buying one. Just can't justify spending that kind of $$$ for a carb when I already have 2 good ones...

An inline needs the most rigid mount you can make.

I used an inline with Ron's injection and won with that too....and did NOT go back to an idle with that car/engine/system. A similar setup on a newer car refused to work though.....

I use the inline stop as a starting line enhancer when I bracket race....Takes 5 minutes to change it from S/C to bracket mode...

I sold my plate stop and prefer the inline....
