Default Fox Sports-1: Better Advertisers & Cross Promotion

The pro show is clearly going to feature only pro categories, but you don't see minor league baseball featured on an MLB broadcast, so there is longstanding precedent.

I did see the NHRA show promoted heavily during the ARCA and Sprint Unlimited broadcasts- never saw a commercial for NHRA on ESPN.

And then was a better class of advertisers during the first four commercial breaks.
Bayer Aspirin, Taco Bell, LEGO, Kawasaki, E-Harmony, Helzberg Diamonds, Serta, Circle K, a pharmaceutical called Entyvio. It wasn't until the fifth break that they reverted to the usual NHRA sponsors, such as Lucas Oil, Traxxas, Lincoln Tech, LifeLock.

Better advertisers could lead to a larger available pool of team sponsors. This may not trickle down to sportsman classes, but it does improve the chances for a few sportsman standouts to move up to a pro category.

The FS-1 sportsman show will air this coming Thursday at 10:00 PM. That seems like the best time slot ever for the sportsman. It can only get better if it turns out to be more than just a TAFC & TAD program.

On the whole, this is progress, after 2 decades of stagnation.

YEP! Everything is flawed if you looked hard enough. 2X champion Tony will also improve as the season progresses. Looking forward to this season.

Just a heads up...............................

Thursday Sportsman Racing is not going to be on FS1.............

Sportsman racing will be on FS2 @ 7:00PM Pacific time and it is a 1 hour long show....

For me FS2 is Ch. 618 on DirecTv
