I am in the process of building a 85' Camaro stocker, I too am using the 305. fortunately using the 305 is still a good choice due to the horsepower hasn't been refactored by NHRA to bad and other racers haven't beat it up too much by bumping index etc a lot. the secrete to getting that motor to come alive and making power like most other engines is the right heads casting # and a preferred carb. if you need any help inbox me.
