I was able to get a 9" X 30" slick under my '80 Vette by just cutting the emergency brake cable tabs off the trailing arms. Was also able to use a 8" wide wheel. No problems after that.

an 80 vette is much easier to get a big tire on. Here is my 80 with a 295 drag radial and a 29x10 slick. Both tires are on an 8.5 rim with a 4 7/8 back space. Once again you need the BFH and some heat at the front of the kick up area of the chassis. Hope these help.

Haven't had a Corvette in years. Someone explain the solid axle but still using the cross leaf spring and trailing arms. I'm guessing you use the trailing arms as lower control arms but what else do you need to hold the rear if anything?
