I don't know how much power it made, 'cause I don't dyno, but Steve Tschetter went 10.63 @ 124.67 in SS/LA at 3450 lbs. back in 2000. That is the '64 Chevelle Larry Wilson now has but the times were done with a stock block around the same combo Larry referred to.

I didn't have anything to do with the Bowtie version of that engine (other than storing it in my garage for Steve), but I was surprised that I never saw any times close to the 10.63 after it was sold. Larry, did you go faster than that?

Jerry

Jerry when I purchased the car the people who owed the car tried to put it back on the street. The motor had 8 cracked pistons and the cylinder walls were seriously scratched. I re-did the motor but it never ran like it did when Steve owned the car. I only ran 10.60's in K. I put a stick in it and it ran a lot better which makes me think I should of checked trans and converter out. I didn't know Steve but he spared no expense when he did this car.
