Default Re: Front Suspension G-Body

Since no one makes any type of "trick spring" for Big Chevies like my 65 Impala I am using the lightest spring that was available which is a 6 cylinder/SBC without air conditioning. I double check to make sure by checking a MOOG catalog which is available on line and measuring. I also cut off 1.5 coils which worked well in my 68 Impala I ran.

As far as ease of installation not too sure what you swapped out of that Chevelle but putting a lighter spring with cut off coils a lot easier to install. I did not even need my motor in the car to install mine, just had someone stand on crossmember.

Will Lamprecht I/SA in progress.
