At Dallas we were torn down in the hot sun just outside the tent, tired, we were all done but couldn't find the 3/8 box, took intake off, no 3/8 but did find a small screwdriver; 3/8 was under the front tire....ugh!

Anyway Wesley was throwing out somebody and the wife was bawling and pleading to check another hole, Wesley says, Ma'am when we check a good one we don't go looking for a bad one....

Wesley made a good point. LOL
One year, at Ennis, Wesley came over to ask if I would help push a car in a trailer, parked near to me. He says "Don't say anything. He tried to set a record, and didn't pass tear down. He ain't happy." I just quietly helped push the car. Every hole, every port, every chamber has to be right. Guys crack me up putting everything dead on the minimums. One thou deck, one cc won't slow you down. Checking at a different temp can sure get you thrown one if you have no cushion.

Man I remember way back in 2012. I qualified 17th in AH class with some high dollar trick carbs and a 1/4 X 20 bolt showing in the head. Got DQ'ed, BUT not one of my infamous hemi valve cover bolts were intruded as the rules stated. The bolt however was clearly an infraction so I packed up and went home after getting wacked by over milled heads. Now we are except so can not wait for Cajuns.

Jeff, that's the best I can do.
